Graphs Galore Part One!

My students have been having so much fun with my latest project! We are studying graphing in second grade, and will be studying them in a month or so in third grade. I have found task cards to be a lifesaver this year with my 2/3 combo. After students finish their independent assignment, they grab a task card basket and either work alone, with a partner, or in a small group. Below is set one, and includes 4 sets of 16 cards each, and covers tally chart, frequency table, picture graph, and vertical bar graph. Each basket includes the task cards and coordinating clipboard with the graph printable. Each set comes in color and black line. 

A few weeks ago, the students in my district received Panasonic devices. This is the first time I have ever added QR codes to my task cards, and I'm so glad I did! I posted a set of the cards around the room and had the students work with a partner to answer them while I worked with third grade. I told them they were going on a scavenger hunt, and they were so excited and on task the entire time! (I should start calling them on-task cards instead of task cards!)

After the students completed each task card, they took their devices around and scanned each card to see the correct answer. If they made a mistake, they were to discuss the mistake with their partner and make the necessary corrections on their papers.
