Could this time of year be any crazier?!?! On top of the end of the year insanity, I have to pack up my classroom! I took a break from filling out end of the year student info and housework to finish up this little end of the year freebie file I have been working on. I hope you are able to use it, and I hope it makes your end of the year a little easier! Candy bar wrappers, treat bag labels, bookmarks, and note cards are included. Please let me know if you would like anything else added or changed! Click on the picture below to see the file on TpT.
Enjoy your glorious weekend!
I hope you had a great weekend! I am linking up this Mother's Day Gift post with Tara from 4th Grade Frolics for her Monday Made It! Check out Tara's Monday Made It and others' here.
I wanted to share what I decided to have my students make for Mother's Day. Last year they made this gardener's sugar hand scrub by One Good Thing by Jillee. The kiddos had fun making it, and the mothers loved the gift. It was super simple- just sugar and dishwashing soap! This year, we are going to make Lemonade Sugar Hand Scrub, following the same directions on the One Good Thing blog post above. (I don't add the Essential Lemon Oil). I used to use Gain Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap/Dishwashing Liquid, which I found at Target on the dishwashing aisle, but this year I am going to use J.R. Watkins Lemon Hand Soap that you can find hereJust make sure the finished scrub isn't too runny- it should be more of a paste. If too much liquid is added, just add more sugar. I used about 3/4 of a cup of sugar per student. You won't need to add very much soap to each jar. Make sure the students stir the mixture thoroughly, scraping the sides and bottom. I call students back six at a time to complete this.
I made a little file with some labels, cards, and tags to use for this gift. Click on the picture below if you would like to see the file. Included you will find lemon slice labels for the top lid of the jar and small lemons that say "Happy Mother's Day that you can tie around the lid. I plan to laminate these, and buy some thin jute to tie the lemon label on. There is also a circular tag that you could use instead of the lemon. You can use a 1 1/2 inch circle punch to cut those out if you like. Also included are a few different choices for cards. The page with four on it can be cut out and glued onto a 4 x 5 blank card, and the one with two can be printed out and folded. The students could also create their own cards for their mothers.

I have one last idea I wanted to share, even though this isn't a Mother's Day gift. I blogged about this a few days ago, but want to share in case you missed it. Every year i have the most amazing parent volunteers! I always love to spoil them with this special gift. You can find the blog post and the recipe to the most amazing cupcakes here. This gift has become a tradition of mine. I originally saw this idea on the amazing Eighteen 25 Blog. I asked if it would be OK to create a tag for a freebie, and one of the girls said it was fine. Check out the file here

It's hard to believe that when the next Monday Made It rolls around, it will be summer! (Well, for some of us!)
I am also participating in the Teachers Pay Teachers sale. My cart is overflowing with goodies to buy for my 2/3 combo next year! I adore TpT! Click on the picture below to check out my little store!
